"Girls in their Summer Clothes"

That's the title of a Bruce Springsteen song & if you haven't heard it, it's perfect for a night like this:
Heather's showing off her black & white polka-dot wedgies. Kinda remind me of Minnie Mouse! Those shoes could go with almost anything in the summer. Love 'em. Amber looked delicious & so summery in this pink & white striped sundress with ribbon trim & her white pumps. (Ok, she borrowed the dress from me. Ok, she looked so great in it I had to give it to her. Ok, so I paid all of $3.99 for it at Steinmart in the REAL Palm Springs.) Only the best for my son's BGF! Don't ever say I won't share!

Golf Bag

I gotta tell ya, I fell in love with this rhinestone-studded jewel of an evening bag Deb carried the other night (a pretty unmemorable night for Deb, she knows what I mean....) to the "Evening in Paris" dinner at YCC. It's a metal can! And it's pink! And it has jewels all over it! Adorable.

City Shoes

Lindsey's blogalicious pumps! With city skylines in black & white patent! Perfect for city streets, perfectly sardonic in the NQPSofW. Lindsey's obviously an artist with an artistic eye for footwear.

Link to Fashiony Fun

Hi everyone--I found this great fashion link on the Seattle PI website. Click on here & see lots of pics from fashion shows around the world, plus on the main page you can click on "Fashion Chameleon" & see the many looks of different stars like Dita VonTeese (she's from another century--skin like porcelain! Obviously wasn't wearing Coppertone in her youth like the rest of us), Kate Beckinsdale, Sarah Jessica Parker, Gweneth Paltrow, and (yum-yum) David Beckham.

Just go here:

Victoria BC

I just got back from a long weekend at a convention in Victoria BC. You know how I love to see what people are wearing everywhere I go! I mean, anywhere but the Palm Springs of Wash. is always fun. AND you'll be happy to know I got a new camera so I got to try it out. Here are a few of the bloggable things I saw in Victoria:

This is Plaster Man. He was hanging around the harbor. White is always good for summer I guess, but he looked kinda hot that day.
This girl was at the Ska Fest at the harbor. Love the tatted lace on the back of that dress! And her tweed newsboy cap. Very ska-like.

Some chick with her Rolls in front of the Empress Hotel. (I just had to put this one in).
This is Cindy--she wore Herve Leger to the museum reception. Very short & very bandage-like. I think the bear liked it. Grrr.
This little munchkin dressed for evening in gold satin and gold lame' Mary-Jane shoes. One can never have too much gold I always say. Or be too young to wear it.

All the best-dressed children in Victoria wear sunhats. Awwwww. so cute.
The Queen showed up at the opening reception, attired in a lovely floor-length blue brocade with puffy sleeves, a sash, and a charming pocketbook. When you're the Queen, you call it a pocketbook. She also has a sword down the front of her dress, but we didn't know that in this picture. Thus the ramrod-straight posture for which she is so well-known. She was delightful!

OMG! It's Johnny Depp! He looked kinda scary....

This is Allison, everyone's new BFF because she looked so cute and so bloggable in this yellow cotton apron-dress, AND she had the best shoes at the reception. She was so excited--she said she'd never been blogged before! Allison--if you're reading this, send me your e-mail, I have things I want to tell you! gaydoo@yahoo.com

This is our long-honored traditional Cocktail Lounge Pile o' Shoes. Ok, if you couldn't see Allison's in the previous pic, they're the multi-colored (brown, yellow, green, orange) strappy heels. It's a long story, but the short version is everyone puts a shoe on the table & the server picks one out of the pile & the owner of that shoe pays the bill. Sorry Zeke. That was some big ol' pile of cocktails, too. Thanks!

Croc Convention

A Croc Convention in Chelan. Euwww! How Crockish! What's with these people?

1st of July

Ok so it wasn't yet the 4th of July, but it was the 1st and in our family that's an even bigger occasion because it's Dad & Uncle's birthday. This year the twins were 84! And Ava, great-granddaughter, was there to celebrate & all decked out in red, white, & blue. Too cute.
