First Friday

If you haven't been to a First Friday in downtown Yakima yet, you need to get with it. Remember when downtown was dead? Not true, not anymore. On the First Friday of every month all the downtown restaurant/wine-tasting locations are open for biz and most have some kind of fun live music. People are actually walking! Around downtown Yakima! Anyway, we went from the Barrel House to Gilbert Cellars (which actually has a cellar, downstairs in the Greystone building), to Plaza Sociavale--where we listened to a band of 3 guys that played everything from Neil Young to Brittany Spears to Bruce Springsteen.

And when we went to Kana, I saw this girl walk in with her black knee-high boots and this charming little black & white buffalo plaid flannel mini skirt! She was so obviously having a great time, and here's the best part: she got it at the Goodwill. See--there is real style in NQPS! And it doesn't always cost your entire paycheck! So keep it up ladies of Not Quite Palm Springs! Be Bloggable!
