Garden Dance

I thought this was a gardening store, duh. It's right next to "Garden Girl", which is a gardening store, on Front Street. But Garden Dance is billed as "A collection of home, garden, and fashion frou-frou", and that's exactly what it is.
I love frou-frou! Leopard loafers! Pony purses! Funky aprons! And fabulous trench coats in black velvet or red satin with golden swirly things!
Anyway, this is a great Front Street shop that deserves regular browsing just for the smiles. I found a red polka-dot teapot amongst all the other frous. Owner Michelle Wyles is as friendly and funky as the shop itself, and her personality is reflected everywhere. She also has consignment jewelry from local artist Lucy Valderhaug & others, chandeliers, tableware, children's things, and bric-a-brac. It really is an interesting blend of very cool stuff. Go there on a gray and boring afternoon, your spirits will immediately rise out of the doldrums!
